I have been using this for years. Most Vitamin C is half L-ascorbic acid (the good stuff) and half D-ascorbic acid (lab created and unusable by the body :useless). LUVBYNATURE Vitamin C powder is 100% L-ascorbic acid. Human blood vessels are only one layer of epithelial cells thick. Behind them is a gel like substance that prevents foreign particles and cholesterol from getting through. Vitamin C is what keeps the gel thick and protects you. Almost all humans cannot make their own Vitamin C, Most animals can.. Most of us are not getting enough Vitamin C and the "protective gel" becomes watery as a result. Then particles and cholesterol can then get through. Cholesterol builds up and narrows blood vessels. Vitamin C as L-ascorbic acid prevents this. Important to NOT get Vitamin C from China. LUVBYNATURE Vitamin C is not. I will take this product for the rest of my life.
